Skyline Highschool hosted an IMOD Quantum LEAP ambassador who spoke on their pathway into scientific research.
Grant Dixon, a graduate student in the Cossairt Group at the University of Washington, was a Quantum LEAP Ambassador at Skyline Highschool (Issaquah District, WA). Grant met and spoke with freshman biology classes about his path in science, what makes a good scientist, and how the scientific method is treated in the context of an academic chemistry lab.
Mia Eldridge, a 2023 IMOD RET participant, was the host for this event. This event served to kickstart interest in the scientific method. UbiQD dontated UbiGrow films deisgned for growing plants indoors for growing plants indoor, that were used to demonstrate some of the key concepts and ideas behind optoelectronic materials.
