Part 08: Team Communication

Setting up expectations and norms around how a team is going to communicate is a great way to setup teammates for success. This can be everything from communication channels, such as email, texting, or direct messaging, through to meeting frequency and how results are shared. In this section we walk through some tactics that can be used to establish a communication plan early on.

This series is adapted from a hybrid and in-person series delivered by IMOD in early 2025. Participants in the series engaged in discussion around these topics and earned a LinkedIN certificate.

This series draws primarily on two sources. The NIH Collaboration and Team Science Field Guide and the Strategies for Team Science Success Handbook. We have also drawn from a number of other key sources.
