Part 05: Transferrable Skills

While there are many skills that are specific to a project or a task, there are a range of skills that are transferrable between different team environments and scenarios, such as communication, interpersonal skills, and attitudes. This section outlines some of these skills, how to identify those you need to develop and insights into how these can be used to prepare you for current and future team participation.

This series is adapted from a hybrid and in-person series delivered by IMOD in early 2025. Participants in the series engaged in discussion around these topics and earned a LinkedIN certificate.

This series draws primarily on two sources. The NIH Collaboration and Team Science Field Guide and the Strategies for Team Science Success Handbook. We have also drawn from a number of other key sources.
