2025 Building Better Teams Series

Part of the IMOD Professional Development Program

Part 03: Self-Awareness

One of the most effective ways of engaging in teamwork is knowing what you want, and how you act. Everyone is personal and this informs how we act and how we connect to the team. Gaining a clear awareness of oneself is the best way to prepare for engaging in teamwork.

This series is adapted from a hybrid and in-person series delivered by IMOD in early 2025. Participants in the series engaged in discussion around these topics and earned a LinkedIN certificate.

This series draws primarily on two sources. The NIH Collaboration and Team Science Field Guide and the Strategies for Team Science Success Handbook. We have also drawn from a number of other key sources.
