VISION PREM Summer Symposium 2025
Connecting Communities through Quantum Materials and Learning Pathways
This symposium brings together faculty, students, and partners from UC Merced and IMOD to explore how we can collectively advance materials research, education, and workforce development — especially in ways that reflect regional strengths and national needs.
Goals
- Share progress in research, teaching, and student development across the VISION and IMOD networks.
- Identify models for reciprocal collaboration that extend beyond traditional travel-based exchanges.
- Strengthen career-connected pathways in quantum and semiconductor materials science—from K–14 to graduate and postdoctoral levels.
- Initiate or deepen collaborative research projects between IMOD and UC Merced faculty and students.
